Apple Today - 12/30/2015 (AAPL)

seymour_greenz • December 30th 2015 10:00:07 AM

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are down 8 with -2 Fair Value, Dow Futures are down 50 in the 2nd to last day of 2015. Futures have been worsening as we approach the open and there are a few economic metrics expected today.

Asian markets ended mixed. China closed up 0.26%, Japan gained 0.27% while Hong Kong dropped 0.53%. European markets are down today with Germany currently in the red by 1.08%, France is down 0.24% and the UK has dropped 0.58%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is currently down 2.61%, natural gas is down 5.11% and gold is up 0.04%. Unleaded gas is down 1.97%. Energy is down, metals are mostly down and meat is mostly up. Corn, soybeans, wheat and cocoa are all up.

Oil rebound slips away as oil prices slide back toward 11-year lows.

AAPL had a solid recovery day yesterday, gaining back 1.80%. AAPL opened up at 106.88 on moderate volume and truly never looked back all day, not by even a penny. Within minutes of the open, AAPL immediately reclaimed 107.5 and continued on to upper-107 area where it "wavered" slightly, perhaps to shake off some stops. After that, AAPL slowly and consistently moved upwards all day on generally relatively low volume, reclaiming 108 by noon and 109 by 2pm. Peaking at 109.43 at 2:52pm on moderately light volume, AAPL sold off to the upper-108 area in the last hour before close, also on moderately low volume. AAPL ended the intra-day session up 1.92 to 108.74. AAPL lost 4 cents in after-hours to close at 108.7.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up at 108.7 and has held up fairly well considering Futures. Though AAPL has struggled to keep 108.7 it has held the mid-108 area quite well on relatively low volume. AAPL is currently down 22 cents at 108.52.

Classic max-pain is 109.
