AAPL had a good week headed into Labor Day and the new product event, ending up 0.74% on low volume. On Monday, AAPL kicked off the week in the mid-106 area, striving for the mid-107 area but slipping below 107 on low volume as sharks circled. On Tuesday, AAPL was hit with a "speeding ticket" from the EU and dipped as low as the mid-105 area before bouncing back to 106 on low volume. On Wednesday, AAPL splashed along the 106 water-line and then melted into it, ending up slightly on low volume. On Thursday, aside from a morning dip in the road, AAPL started a drive up through beautiful rolling green hills with more in the distance, ending up on low volume. On OPEX Friday, AAPL ended up 0.94% on low volume. AAPL opened up at 107.67 to high volume and set a fleeting intra-day high of 108.00 before taking a dip to 107 to set an intra-day low of 106.82 at 12:22pm on mild volume and then bouncing back to recover the mid-107 area by 3pm and running up another 25 cents into the close on mild volume to land OPEX up in space an even dollar at 107.73 and gained another 2 cents in after-hours to 107.75.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up with Friday's after-hours and continued driving up through green hills to 108. AAPL breached the mid-107 area and hit a pre-market high of 108.20 at 6:38am while the pending Apple event grows "clearer". AAPL is currently up 35 cents at 108.08 as we approach the open.
