Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 32 with +46 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 12 with +15 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 85 as Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) soars up over 18% in pre-market after reporting stronger than expected earnings and adding 3.2 million more international subscribers. The economic calendar is fairly calm with Consumer Price Index and Redbook Chain Store Sales in the cards for the morning, but the real action is in the bounty of earnings rolling in. Futures were up in early morning, have kept rising throughout the morning and are now at the highs as we approach the open.

Asian markets ended up. China gained 1.40%, Japan went up 0.38% and Hong Kong led the advance, up 1.55%. European markets are up. The UK is up 1.22%, Germany is up 1.18% and France is leading the advance, up 1.39%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.52%, natural gas is up 1.63% and gold is up 0.37%. Unleaded gas is up 0.21% and heating oil is up 0.37%. Metals are up. Meats are mostly up. Cocoa and coffee are up while cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are down.

US stocks gain on earnings, optimism for gradual rate hikes. US consumer prices rise at fastest pace in 5 months. Netflix subscriptions boom around world, shares jump.

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) reported Q3 earnings yesterday afternoon that beat expectations by posting stronger than expected earnings and adding 3.2 million more international subscribers and is up over 18% in pre-market. International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) announced Q3 results with a fall in revenue but an optimistic cloud forecast and is down nearly 3%. GigPeak, Inc. (GIG) reported adjusted Q3 earnings of 5 cents per share that beat expectations and is up over 1.5%. Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. (TACO) announced Q3 results with a profit of 13 cents per share that beat expectation and is up over 8%.

Domino's Pizza, Inc. (DPZ) reported Q3 numbers this morning with strong revenue results that beat expectations and is up nearly 3% in pre-market. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) announced Q3 earnings that beat expectations with a 58% jump on bond trading revenue and is up nearly 1.5%. Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is down slightly after reporting Q3 results with a 27% increase in profit. BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) announced Q3 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 1%. Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) is down slightly after reporting Q3 results with a profit of $1.06 per share, topping expectations. Harley-Davidson, Inc. (HOG) is down nearly 0.5% after reporting mixed results. Regions Financial Corporation (RF) announced Q3 results with earnings of 24 cents per share and is down over 0.5%. Philip Morris International Inc. (PM) reported Q3 earnings that topped expectations and is up over 1.5%. UnitedHealth Group Inc. (UNH) announced Q3 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 2.5%.

This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (IBKR), Intel Corporation (INTC) and Cree, Inc. (CREE).

Tomorrow morning before the open, Abbott Laboratories (ABT), Tupperware Brands Corporation (TUP), U.S. Bancorp (USB), Seagate Technology (STX), Halliburton Company (HAL) and Morgan Stanley (MS) are expected to report.

AAPL dipped into murky shark-infested waters yesterday but managed to outswim the beasts, ending down just 0.09% on low volume. AAPL opened down at 117.33 to high volume and quickly set an intra-day high of 117.83 on strong volume before sinking to an intra-day low of 116.78 at 10:02am on moderate volume before reversing course and floating back up to the mid-117 area.shortly after 11am. Afterwards, AAPL dipped lower again, lurking into the 117 and upper-116 area before surfacing up again to the mid-117 area after 3pm. AAPL ended the day down 8 cents at 117.53 and gained 21 cents in after-hours to 117.74.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher in conjunction with Futures and on the coattails of NFLX and zipped up into the mid-118 area on a buy upgrade from Stifel with a price target of $130 before pulling back into the open. AAPL is currently up 49 cents at 118.04 as we approach the open.
